Warrior Upcoming Events for December 6th-11th!

WHS Parents and Students,
Welcome to December! As we are closing in on the end of the semester, our new Capturing Kids' Hearts focus word for the month is "Responsibility."
Speaking of responsibility...students will have semester tests during the week of Dec. 13th. These test will be worth 20% of the student's overall semester grade. Parents, please help us stress the importance these exams will play in the student grade and encourage your student to take the "responsibility" to study and give themselves the best opportunity to do well on those exams. All students will take semester tests (there are no exemptions during the fall semester). The semester test schedule is as follows:
Monday, 12-13-21: Students will meet in all classes for final review (shortened class schedules for all A, B, 4, and 5 classes)
Tuesday, 12-14-21: A day classes and 4th block semester tests
Wednesday, 12-15-21: B day classes and 5th block semester tests
Thursday, 12-16-21: Make up testing day
Friday, 12-17-21: Make up testing day by administrative approval only (Final Grades due by noon)

Softball tryouts will be held for grades 9-12 on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Westside High School had several students compete in Special Olympics Bowling. Those who competed were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals based on their performances. We were notified yesterday that 7 of our students qualified to compete at the state level for Special Olympics bowling! Only 25 students from this region qualified and 7 of those are Westside Warriors! Great job representing our school!!!
