Thank you in advance for your patience this morning as the rain is going to make arrival time a little longer than normal on the first day. Please rest assured that we will not count a student tardy for being late because we know it's going to happen on days like today. Despite all that, we are very excited to have everyone on this first day of school! It's going to be a great school year!!

Recess Reminders at WMS

WMS is ready to welcome all 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students on campus tomorrow. Drop off will begin for cars at 7:30 am. Students will go to the cafeteria if they are eating breakfast or the gym if they are not eating breakfast. Lunch times are as follows: 5th-10:30, 6th-11:20, 7th-12:05. Students will have until Friday, August 23rd to make any schedule changes for the first semester. We are looking forward to a wonderful year as Warriors!

Westside Middle School is excited to welcome our 5th grade families to open house tonight from 6-8 pm. Families can go straight to their homerooms once they arrive to meet with their teachers. It's a great day to be a Warrior! 6th and 7th grade open house is Thursday, August 8th from 6-8 pm.

WMS staff worked on some team building this morning. Each hallway designed a pirate flag that represented their hallway and something about each individual. Pirate stand for Passion, Immersion, Rapport, Ask/Analyze, Transformation, and Enthusiasm. WMS is ready to see our awesome students!!

WMS Nurse Meghan Brodell will be present for 5th grade Open House on Tuesday, August 6 from 6-8 pm and 6th and 7th grade Open House on Thursday, August 8 from 6-8 pm for anyone who wants to discuss any health concerns for their student, drop off medicine , etc. You can also email her at mbrodell@westsideschools.org.

On July 1, 2024, starting at 12:00 a.m., call or email to get your name on the waiting list for the 24/25 season Warrior Gym seats! Contact the superintendent's office at 870-336-8015 or email dpassmore@westsideschools.org. Date and timestamp will be notated for placement on the waiting list. Seats are priced at $125 each for all home volleyball and girls’ and boys’ basketball games. Current chairback holders will receive a notification via USPS for renewal. We look forward to seeing all our fans at the Warrior Dome for the 24/25 sports season!

This is a friendly reminder that Summer Meals at Westside will be served during the month of July with the exception of July 4th & 5th. Breakfast - 8:00-9:00 Lunch at 11:00-12:00.
