February 5th - 11th Warrior Events!
JR High Soccer Tryouts have been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 6 at 3:30 pm. We will still meet at the middle school tornado shelter for tryouts and parent meeting.
Warrior Events for next week, January 30th - February 4th!
JR High Soccer League tryouts & parent meeting are on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 3:30 at the middle school safe house. It is open to 6-9th grade (2008 & younger) boys & girls. Sign up at www.jonesboro.org/417/NEA-Jr-High-Soccer. For more info email choneycutt@westsideschools.org.
Kindergarten and Pre-K registration has been scheduled for Westside Elementary School on March 6th - 8th! Kindergarten registration will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment for your child, please call 870-336-9242. Pre-K registration will be from 8:00-2:30 on these dates. See flyers below for information required to fully enroll your child at Westside Elementary School.

Due to weather forecasts, the Jr High softball tryouts have been moved to the Westside Middle School Gym on Wednesday, January 25th, 5:30-7pm. Required footwear will be tennis shoes . For any questions or additional information, please contact 870-243-6510.

Westside FFA is hosting a supply drive for the NEA Humane Society. They will be collecting items until Feb. 22nd. Items can be dropped off at the Westside High School Office, or you can order items off of their Amazon wish list, and have them shipped directly to the school! Saturday, March 11, 2023 held in the WHS Fine Arts Center - Registration now open and forms will be sent home with elementary students and middle and high school students can obtain a form through their school office. Pageant is open to Westside students only.

Attention parents and guardians:
Bus 76 (Helicopter) students who live on Highway 18 will be dropped off 20-30 minutes later than normal.
The Arkansas School Board Association (ASBA) announced that January is School Board Recognition Month in Arkansas.
As publicly elected school leaders, Arkansas school board members set policy for their respective districts. Under state law, they are empowered to hire and evaluate the superintendent, oversee district finances, approve the budget, and determine the vision and mission of the district. School boards must also approve the curriculum and ensure the district maintains adequate facilities for teaching and learning.
In addition to their board duties, state law requires Arkansas school board members to earn a minimum of six hours of professional development each year in areas related to their role and responsibilities.
