September is Attendance Awareness Month, and Westside Consolidated School District is joining schools across the country in highlighting the importance of regular school attendance.
Every day at Westside gives our students opportunities to learn, grow, build friendships, connect with teachers, and take part in the many experiences that make school meaningful. When students are at school regularly and on time, they are better able to stay connected to their learning and their school community.
We understand that illnesses, appointments, and other circumstances sometimes require students to miss school. Families can help support good attendance by establishing consistent bedtime and morning routines, preparing backpacks and clothing the night before, scheduling appointments outside of school hours when possible, and communicating with the school when an absence is necessary.
Most importantly, we want every student—from our youngest Warriors to our seniors—to know something very simple:
Your presence matters here.
Thank you to our families for partnering with us to help our students make the most of every school day.
Every day matters. Every student matters. Every Warrior matters. ❤️🤍
